Jazzkollektiv Babelsberg is dedicated to the jazz era of hardbop, which emerged in the 1950s through musicians such as Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers, Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Clifford Brown and others as a further development of bebop.

The five musicians from Potsdam also draw upon the rich repertoire of the Great American Songbook as well as original compositions. Two horns, a full double bass, elegantly light piano playing and impulsive drumming. In addition to the rhythmic drive, elements from soul and blues are also adopted. This makes the Jazzkollektiv Babelsberg an experience. Whether on open-air stages, in jazz clubs, at corporate events or as a pop-up act: music that electrifies the audience.
